As a result of a search of the Web of Science database, 655 articles were analysed and through these articles, the evolution, interaction and changes in the academic impact of the field were revealed. The increase in the number of publications and citations, especially since the 2010s, shows that the importance of this field in the academic world has increased. The fact that the majority of the articles are original researches shows that scientific activities in this field are carried out in depth. In addition, it has been determined that key concepts such as life cycle assessment and sustainable design are intensively included in the literature. The study also provides important findings on the most active authors, journals and articles in the field, emphasising the need for a multidisciplinary approach for future research.</dc:description><dc:publisher>IGI Global</dc:publisher><dc:date>2025</dc:date><dc:type>Book Chapter</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/munzur/1036</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.4018/979-8-3373-0174-7.ch013</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>979-833730176-1</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>979-833730174-7</dc:identifier><dc:language>en</dc:language><dc:relation>Sustainable Approaches in Spatial Design</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/bookPart</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://munzur-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/munzur/1036</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
