Üyesi Kemal YıldızTarih boyunca çok farklı biçimlerde tanımlanan sanat, insanın hayal gücünün bir yaratımı, duyguların ve düşüncelerin estetik kaygılarla ifade edilmesi olarak tanımlanabilir. Sanat, bireysel bir yaratım süreci olsa da aynı zamanda ortaya çıktığı döneme ait toplumsal ve tarihsel kültürün içinde şekillenen bir olgudur. Ortaya konulan sanat ve sanat eseri üretildiği toplumun, kültürel, politik, dini, siyasi, ekonomik yapısıyla iç içedir. Sanatçının yarattığı eser ile içinde bulunduğu zamana, mekâna ve topluma karşı bir sorumluluğu var ise, aynı şekilde toplumun ve mevcut politik erklerin de sanatçıya karşı sorumlulukları bulunmaktadır. Bu bağlamda genelde ve sanat yönetimi içerisinde sanatçının konumu önem arz eder. Bu çalışmada sanatın, sanatçının ve kültür ve sanat yönetiminin ne olduğundan hareketle, Abidin Dino'nun sanat anlayışının, döneminin siyasi ve toplumsal koşullarının onun sanat yönetimi içerisindeki konumuna nasıl etki ettiği incelenmiştir. Abidin Dino sadece ressam ve karikatürist kimliğiyle değil diğer sanat dallarında verdiği ürünlerle ve entelektüel politik duruşuyla da irdelenmiştir. Dino'nun siyasi kimliği ve sosyalist dünya görüşünün sanat anlayışına etkileri değerlendirilmiş, sürgünde ve yasaklı olduğu yıllarda sanatsal üretimini nasıl şekillendirdiği siyasi otorite ile olan ilişkileri incelenmiştir. Döneminin mevcut sanat politikaları ve karşılaştığı güçlüklerin Abidin Dino'nun sanatına etkileri sanatçı bağlamında sorgulanmıştır. Dino'nun toplumcu gerçekçi sanat akımına katkıları ile hususi hayatı, ailesi, çocukluk ve eğitim yılları, sanat hayatı, eserleri, kurucusu olduğu gruplarla beraber yaşamında ve ölümünden sonra düzenlenen sergileri incelenmiştir.Throughout history, art has been conceptualized in various forms and definitions. In its broadest sense, it may be regarded as a product of human imagination, as well as the expression of emotions and thoughts governed by aesthetic concerns. While art is fundamentally an individual creative process, it simultaneously emerges within and is shaped by the socio-cultural and historical context of its time. Artworks, therefore, are inseparable from the cultural, political, religious, social, and economic structures of the societies in which they are produced. If an artist bears responsibility toward their time, space, and society, it follows that society and prevailing political authorities equally bear certain responsibilities toward the artist. Within this framework, the position of the artist, both in general and specifically within the discipline of arts management, assumes critical importance. This study aims to investigate the interrelation between art, the artist, and the concept of arts and culture management by focusing on the artistic philosophy of Abidin Dino. It explores how the socio-political conditions of his time influenced his role within the field of cultural management. Dino is examined not solely as a painter and caricaturist, but as a multidisciplinary artist whose intellectual and political engagements significantly shaped his artistic production. Particular emphasis is placed on the ways in which his political identity and socialist worldview informed his approach to art, as well as the manner in which he negotiated the challenges of exile and censorship. His interactions with political authority and their implications for his artistic practice are also scrutinized. The study further evaluates the impact of contemporary cultural policies and institutional constraints on Dino's artistic trajectory. In addition, the research explores his contributions to the tradition of social realist art, along with a biographical overview encompassing his private life, family background, formative years, artistic career, major works, affiliations with artistic collectives, and posthumous exhibitions.
