Araştırma evrenini 2022-2023 eğitim-öğretim yılı Elazığ Kaya Karakaya Spor Lisesi öğrencileri (n=217) ve araştırmanın örneklemini ise bu lise içerisinde herhangi bir spor branşı ile aktif olarak ilgilenen gönüllü öğrenciler (n=126) oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak Çok Boyutlu Sportmenlik Yönelimi Ölçeği ve On Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği olmak üzere iki farklı ölçek kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların cinsiyete göre On Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği'nin Dışa Dönüklük alt boyutunda erkekler lehine anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiş (p<.05) ve Çok Boyutlu Sportmenlik Yönelimi Ölçeği'nin hiçbir alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık tespit edilememiştir (p>.05). Katılımcıların spor türüne göre On Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği'nin hiçbir alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık tespit edilememiş (p>.05) ve Çok Boyutlu Sportmenlik Yönelimi Ölçeği'nin Sosyal Normlara Uyum ve Kurallar ve Yönetime Saygı alt boyutlarında bireysel spor yapanlar lehine anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir (p<.05). Katılımcıların aile eğitim düzeyine göre On Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği'nin ve Çok Boyutlu Sportmenlik Yönelimi Ölçeği'nin hiçbir alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık tespit edilememiştir (p>.05). Katılımcıların yaşa göre On Maddeli Kişilik Ölçeği'nin Sorumluluk alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiş (p<.05) ve Çok Boyutlu Sportmenlik Yönelimi Ölçeği'nin hiçbir alt boyutunda anlamlı farklılık tespit edilememiştir (p>.05). Sonuç olarak, spor lisesi öğrencilerinin kişilik özellikleri ve sportmenlik yönelimleri üzerinde cinsiyet, yaş ve spor türünün etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca spor lisesi öğrencilerinin kişilik özelliklerinin orta ve yüksek düzey olduğu, sportmenlik yönelim düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu ve kişilik özellikleri ile sportmenlik yönelimleri arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir.The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between personality traits and sportsmanship orientation levels of sports high school students. The research population consists of 2022-2023 academic year Elazığ Kaya Karakaya Sports High School students (n=217) and the sample of the research consists of volunteer students (n=126) who are actively interested in any sports branch within this high school. Two different scales, the Multidimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale and the Ten-Item Personality Scale, were used as data collection tools in the study. According to the gender of the participants, a significant difference was detected in favor of men in the Extraversion sub-dimension of the Ten-Item Personality Scale (p<.05) and no significant difference was detected in any sub-dimension of the Multidimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale (p>.05).). No significant difference was detected in any sub-dimension of the Ten-Item Personality Scale according to the participants' sport type (p>.05), and a significant difference was detected in favor of those who do individual sports in the sub-dimensions of Compliance with Social Norms and Respect for Rules and Management of the Multidimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale (p<.05). According to the participants' family education level, no significant difference was detected in any sub-dimensions of the Ten-Item Personality Scale and Multidimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale (p>.05). According to the age of the participants, a significant difference was detected in the Responsibility sub-dimension of the Ten-Item Personality Scale (p<.05) and no significant difference was detected in any sub-dimension of the Multidimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale (p>.05). As a result, it was determined that gender, age and sport type were effective on the personolatity traits and sportsmanship orientations of sports high school students.
