Victor hugo’nun “sefiller” romanı üzerine bir okuma

    Akar, Yeliz

İsmet özel’in amentü şiiri üzerine sembolik birokuma

    Akar, Yeliz

The Understanding of “Willful People” in Namık Kemal’s Poems

    Akar, Yeliz

The changes taking place throughout the world in the 19th century with the advance of the enlightenment movement had its repercussions in the Turkish literature. Westernization efforts were underway ever since the reforms of the Tanzimat of 1839 and had their impact especially on the genre of poetry, which as a result broke with the traditional structure of the Classical period and led the way to a new literature in its thematic dimension. Namık Kemal was among the poets shaping this new intellectual and literary phenomenon. He was a modernist poet who contributed a broad perspective to Turkish poetry in terms of its conceptual content and, giving a new human profile a central place in his poetry, he challenged the traditional assumptions of classical poetry in a thematic context. This new type of human was not the object in a heavenly conversation, but instead was the subject of a life they fought to establish with their own choices, decisions, and work. A human of free will who had the courage and power to self-realization was the main theme of Namık Kemal’s poetry. On the other hand, it directs our perspective to people who are free, face-to-face, who can add meaning and value to the world and what they do, and who have the power to destroy the domination; despite all the conditioning, conditioning and limitations, the life move of this human who will realize the rebirth has an inevitable and unstoppable nature. Namık Kemal, who has the courage and the power of self-realization, to direct worldly relationships and events, not by shallow and customary voices and words, but by making them the main trail of his poems, to realize social awakening want.In this study on the Concept of a Human with Free Will in Namık Kemal’s Poetry, we examine the human who faces life to succeed against all odds with reference to his poems Hürriyet Kasidesi (Ode to Freedom), Vatan Şarkısı (Song for the Motherland), Kıtalar (Continents), Vatan Türküsü (Ballad of Motherland), and Murabba (Quartet).

In the novel by tarık buğra of the national ıdeal symbolıc face: küçük ağa

    Akar, Yeliz

Changes in socio-cultural structure of nations are reflected in their literary works with all their reflections. Turkish literature includes characteristic examples that symbolize the reflective role of art as well. Especially the Turkish novel of the Republican era witnesses the adventure of being rebuilt with its structure nourished from the recent history and Anatolian people. This situation prepares the ground for the new school like the country literature that started in the 1920s and continues to the present day. After 1950, Tarık Buğra joined this school. Tarık Buğra reflects the impact of national struggle on society's memory from a different perspective. The Küçük Ağa is the symbolic expansion of this situation. Küçük Ağa is the embodied spirit of the culturally changing mindset; the author narrates the person who is strong-willed to reestablish his future against the empire's suicidal situation in the name of Küçük Ağa. In the context of the reflections of the National Struggle on literature, we have examined this study in two main sections with reference to the transformation experienced by the protagonist. In the first part, we discussed the personalized face of the concepts of the sultan and the caliphate, and in the second part, we discussed the will of the Turkish society that fought for existence by clinging to the judgmental side of the national ideal.

"Konuşma" adlı küçürek öyküde kendilik sorunsalları

    Akar, Yeliz

Küçürek öykü, gözlemlenebilen şey'in insan ruhunda ve bilincinde içselleşen izdüşümleri sonrası yazınsallaşır.

Alienation and problems of identity in Fakir Baykurt’s novels

    Akar, Yeliz

Alienation which ends the meaning and value of being oneself in the existential process causes the loss of thinking abilities of individuals and fragmentation of consciousness. An individual who lost his self value cannot comprehend that loss of these values is a deficiency. In a way an individual who keeps on living with others‟ assumptions, leave his belonging to life and himself completely into nothingness in alienation process. As alienation leads to a psychological conflict among all his experiences, it points to an extinction of everything that belongs to an individual and a serious identity problem. Fakir Baykurt, who is one of the significant writers of social reality, deals with the alienation and identity problem in his novels both socially and psychologically. Baykurt‟s characters who suffer from solitude, communicative deficiency, despair and loss of trust annihilate their perception of awareness by being unable to pass into alertness from somnolence and they lose their own voices, losing all of their worries.
