This study was carried out in Luciobarbus esocinus obtained from Keban Reservoir (Elazığ) between March 2008 and October 2009. During the research, it was determined that the percentage of male, female and undefined individuals from 187 L. esocinus were 45.455%, 37.433% and 17.112% respectively. The ages of population were distributed between I and XVII. The lengths of the individuals ranged from 23.0 to 112.4 cm and the weight of them ranged from 118 to 18042 g. The length and weight equation for population was determined as Wall individuals = 0.0057TL3.2187 (n= 187, r= 0.98). The highest GSI values of both sexed were obtained in March and these values were decreased rapidly after this month. It was determined that the condition factor increased until age 5 and then, it decreased respectively.

This study was carried out in Luciobarbus esocinus obtained from Keban Reservoir (Elazig) between March 2008 and October 2009. During the research, it was determined that the percentage of male, female and undefined individuals from 187 L. esocinus were 45.46%, 37.43% and 17.11% respectively. The ages of population were distributed between I and XVII. The lengths of the individuals ranged from 23.0 to 112.4 cm and the weight of them ranged from 118 to 18,042 g. The length and weight equation for population was determined as W-all individuals = 0.0057*TL3.2187 (n= 187, r= 0.98). The highest GSI values of both sexed were obtained in March and these values were decreased rapidly after this month. It was determined that the condition factor increased until age 5 and then, it decreased respectively.

Yuksel, Fahrettin; Celayir, Yasin
In this research it has been targeted to estimate fishable stocks of Karakaya Dam Lake (in Turkey) by using fishing with gillnets method that had been suggested as an alternative method for estimating fish stocks. Productivity per hectare in the dam lake and the amount of fishable stocks has been calculated to be 13.67 kg ha(-1) and 312.005 kg year(-1), respectively. Fishable stocks have also been analyzed with respect to fish species. According to this, Capoeta sp. is estimated to be 184.107 kg year(-1) (8.06 kg ha(-1)), Cyprinus carpi carpio is estimated to be 56.353 kg year(-1) (2.47 kg ha(-1)), Barbus sp. is estimated to be 40.580 kg year(-1) (1.78 kg ha(-1)), Squalius cephalus is estimated to be 30.455 kg year(-1) (1.34 kg ha(-1)) and Onchorincus mykiss is estimated to be 510 kg year(-1) (0.02 kg ha(-1)).

Yüksel, Fahrettin; Celayir, Yasin
The study was carried out in 16 different regions of Keban Dam Lake (in Turkey) between 2002 and 2008. The data were taken from cooperative chairmen and members who carried out fisheries activities at the end of fishing season. The amounts of produced fish were evaluated according to fishing season, fisheries place and fish species. The fish were caught 483 tons during the 2002-2003 fishing season, 825 tons during the 2003-2004 fishing season, 653 tons during the 2004-2005 fishing season, 775.7 tons during the 2005-2006 fishing season, 685 tons during the 2006-2007 fishing season and 688 tons during the 2007-2008 fishing season. The produced fish were composed of Capoeta sp. (39%), Barbus sp. (29%), Cyprinus carpio carpio (24.4%), Squalius cephalus (3.8%), Astacus leptodactylus (3%), Alburnus mossulensis (0.6%) and Acanthobrama marmid (0.2%). The average 191 motor boats, 418000 m gillnets and 33665 crayfish fyke nets were used for a year. However, it depends on the fishing season.
