In this study, it is aimed to determine the growth characteristics of Salmo macrostigma (D., 1858), which is named as red spotted trout, in the Munzur River within the borders of Tunceli Province. The research was carried out between January 2015 and December 2015 in the Munzur River. Representing the entire population, 165 fish samples from different length groups were caught using a gill net, cover net, electroshooker device and fishing line. Age determination was made from stamps using the relevant literature. It was determined that the population was distributed between I-VIII age groups and the female / male ratio was 1:0.96. It has been calculated that this ratio is statistically not different from 1:1. In the non-linear regression analysis used to determine the length-weight relationship in fish, isometric growth in females (b = 2.9854), negative allometric growth in males (b = 2.7251), and negative allometric growth in all individuals (b = 2.8509). The total length of the analyzed fish samples varied between 12-36 cm, body weights 22.9-490 g, and the condition factor was calculated as 1.19. Growth parameters according to von Bertalanffy equation were estimated as K=0.08 year-1, L∞=56.58 cm, W∞=1696.3 g, t0=-2.06 year for males and K=0.10 year-1, L∞=55.8 cm, W∞=1949.6 g, t0=-1.61 years for females. The growth performance index (Φ') used to compare growth parameters with different studies conducted for the same species was determined as 5.55 for males and 5.74 for females.
