Shirmanov, I.A.; Strugov, E.D.; Aladailah, M.W.; Tashlykov, O.L.; Abualsayed, M.I.; Askin, A.
An assessment of the radiation-protective parameters of glass samples with different ratios of holmium oxide Ho2O3 was carried out using a system of libraries for computer modeling of the processes of passage of elementary particles through the Geant4 substance and the NIST XCOM database. The results of calculations of the mass attenuation coefficient and the half-attenuation layer for the samples under study at the energy of gamma radiation varying from 0.122 to 1.408 MeV are presented.

Flrat, Erhan
The two-dimensional wake structure behind a fixed, rigid square prism with fluid injection from the single, relatively narrow slot (h/H=0.1) has been computed at low Reynolds number (Re=ρ·U∞·H/μ=100 based on the side length of the prism and freestream velocity) using a finite volume method (FVM). Injection surface (i.e. front and rear) and injection rate (from IR=UJ/U∞=0 to 3 by 0.2 step) are the key parameters that determine the aerodynamic and flow characteristics. Two flow patterns for the prism with front jet and four flow patterns for the prism with rear jet were identified with respect to IR. Flow patterns were associated with changes in flow and aerodynamic characteristics.

- BildiriYalnız künye2017New Complex and Hyperbolic Function Solutions to the Generalized Double Combined Sinh-Cosh-Gordon Equation
Baskonus, Haci Mehmet
In this study, we have applied the improved Bernoulli sub-equation function method to the generalized double combined Sinh-Cosh-Gordon equation. This method gives new analytical solutions such as complex and hyperbolic function solutions to the problem considered in this paper. Then, we plot the three and two dimensional surfaces of analytical solutions by using Wolfram Mathematica

Gencoglu, Muharrem Tuncay; Baskonus, Haci Mehmet; Bulut, Hasan
The main aim of this manuscript is to obtain numerical solutions for the nonlinear model of interpersonal relationships with time fractional derivative. The variational iteration method is theoretically implemented and numerically conducted only to yield the desired solutions. Numerical simulations of desired solutions are plotted by using Wolfram Mathematica 9.

The wastewaters containing organic and inorganic pollutants after many industrial processes such as metal plating, mining, textile, alloy, battery and industrial chemicals, are often discharged to environment. Heavy metals among these pollutants have highly stable, toxic, non-degradable and carcinogenic characters. They affect not only ecological system, but also human health and many life forms. Therefore, these contaminants should be eliminated or reduced to allowable levels before releasing to environment. Most of heavy metals have toxic character even at low concentrations of about 0.1-0.3ppm. Treatment technologies such as filtration, ion exchange, precipitation, electrodeposition, reverse osmosis, sedimentation, and adsorption have been applied for removal of heavy metals from aqueous solutions. Adsorption is one of the most common and widely applied methods to eliminate the metal ions from waste solutions because of its simplicity and cost effectiveness. Activated carbon, clay minerals, ion exchange resins and various agricultural residues can be used as adsorbent materials in this process [1-3].

Baskonus, Haci Mehmet; Yel, Gülnur; Bulut, Hasan
In this work, we apply the improved Bernoulli sub-equation function method to the space-time fractional Zakharov-Kuznetsov-Benjamin-Bona-Mahony equation. We obtain new travelling wave solutions to this model for values of M, n and m. We have obtained hyperbolic function solutions that describe some physical phenomena. Two- and three-dimensional surfaces of travelling wave solutions are plotted by using Wolfram Mathematica 9. At the end of this study, a conclusion is given by mentioning important findings.

Baskonus, Haci Mehmet; Koç, Dilara Altan; Gülsu, Mustafa; Bulut, Hasan
In this study, we apply an effective method which is improved Bernoulli sub-equation function method (IBSEFM) to the (3+1)-dimensional modified KdV-Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation. It gives some new wave simulations such as complex and exponential structures. We check up whether all structures verify the (3+1)-dimensional modified KdV-Zakharov-Kuznetsov model. Then, we plot three and two dimensional surfaces of obtained solutions by using Wolfram Mathematica 9.

- BildiriYalnız künye2017Determination of optimum conditions of crystal violet dye adsorption on almond shells
Göksu, Ali; Tanaydin, Mehmet Kayra
Almond shells are considered as agricultural waste. In this study almond shells were chosen as effective adsorbents for removing Crystal Violet (CV) from dye solutions. The experimental data was analyzed via the Langmuir, Freudlich and Tempkin isotherm models to obtain isotherm model for the system and the data shows that the Langmuir isotherm model fitted best. Also, the thermodynamics parameters such as ΔH0, ΔG0 and ΔS0 were investigated. The results of the study show that almond shells are efficient and advantageous economically for removing CV from aqueous solutions. The maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 1.1375mg/g on almond shell. Adsorption kinetic studies indicate that the adsorption data can be represented by a pseudo second order model.

Baskonus, Haci Mehmet; Bulut, Hasan
In this study, we have submitted to literature a method newly extended which is called as Improved Bernoulli sub-equation function method based on the Bernoulli Sub-ODE method. The proposed analytical scheme has been expressed with steps. We have obtained some new analytical solutions to the nonlinear fractional-order biological population model by using this technique. Two and three dimensional surfaces of analytical solutions have been drawn by wolfram Mathematica 9. Finally, a conclusion has been submitted by mentioning important acquisitions founded in this study.
