Hedenäs, previously known only from Çanakkale, and the arctic-alpine moss Cyrtomnium hymenophylloides (Hübener) T.J.Kop., previously known only from Ordu province, were rediscovered in Türkiye. Scorpidium cossonii was collected on wet rocky bank near the Ciğer Lake (Çan-Çanakkale) in 2014. Cyrtomnium hymenophylloides was collected on wet soil in Kalıcak and Kadıncık Villages (Ulubey-Ordu) in 2014. Ten years later, both species were found the vicinity of Karagöl and Çiniligöl (Ulukışla-Niğde), glacial lakes located in the Central Anatolian part of the Bolkar Mountains. Scorpidium cossonii and Cyrtomnium hymenophylloides were recorded for the second time from Türkiye and Southwest Asia with the present study. While, Scorpidium cossonii is characterised by strongly curved non-plicate leaves and well developed hyalodermis, Cyrtomnium hymenophylloides is characterised erect tuft life form, broadly ovate leaves, acute to apiculate leaf apices. These new locality records will provide important information about the geographical distribution of the both species in Anatolia and will contribute to the bryophyte flora of Türkiye. Ören, Muhammet; Alataş, Mevlüt; Uyar, Güray

In this study, bryophyte flora of the Akyazı, Arifiye, Geyve, Karapürçek districts in Sakarya Province of Turkey was found out. A total of 1037 bryophyte specimens were collected from the research area in the different vegetation periods between 2016 and 2017. As a results of this study; 193 taxa (1 hornwort, 34 liverworts, 158 mosses) belonging to 113 genera and 55 families were determined. Among them, Sphagnum contortum Schultz is recorded for the second time from Turkey and also 11 taxa are new for the A2 grid-square according to the Turkish grid square system adopted by Henderson (1961). In addition, in the floristic list all taxa, with their Turkey distributions, which are determined by reviewing the related all literatures, and IUCN categories in European countries, moreover life forms of bryophytes and some ecological features such as; (humidity, light, acidity) are given.

Giresun ilinde yayılış gösteren Hypericum L. (Hypericaceae) cinsinin mikromorfolojik ve anatomik özelliklerinin araştırılması

Cakilcioglu, Ugur; Selvi, Selami; Türkmen, Zafer; Hayta, Şükrü; Polat, Rıdvan

In this study the species Hypericum L. exhibiting distribution in and around Giresun were examined comparatively for micromorphological and anatomic characteristics. In anatomic examinations, cross sections from stems and leaves of the plants were examined and anatomic comparisons were made between the species. In micromorphological studies, epidermal surfaces of the stem and leaf and seed surface were examined. The micromorphological and anatomic characters were presented comparatively in tables. It was determined that the anatomic structure of the stem was almost identical in all species examined although the anatomic structure of the leaf was anatomically different. As a consequence it is seen that the characters such as structure of the stem and leaf, mesophyll type of the leaf, stoma configuration on the leaf surface (amphistomatic or hypostamatic), and canal types (type A, B and C) are the ones which will be used in systematic species discrimination.
