A Model Proposal Based on Fuzzy Logic for Creating Talent Pool in Universities
Özet
The purpose of this research is to determine the place of PhD students in the talent matrix within the scope of talent management in universities through the software developed to create a talent pool and to offer a talent management model proposal to universities. The study group of the research using the description screening method consists of PhD students who have passed the proficiency exam and faculty members who are advisors to these students. In the research, a fuzzy logic approach was used to determine the place of PhD students in the talent matrix. With the findings obtained from the research, the place of PhD students in the study group in the talent matrix was determined in accordance with their academic performance and potential. According to the results of the research, it was determined that while there are high-potential underperforming students in the talent matrix, there should be no low-potential-high-performance PhD students, and there should be sufficient or high academic potential in performing academically. It was also pointed out that PhD students consider themselves more capable than their advisors, or that counselors can evaluate their students more impartially with an outside eye. With the software developed in conned with the research, a talent management model has been offered to universities.
