  A statistical overview to the chromosome characteristics of some Centaurea L. taxa distributed in the Eastern Anatolia (Turkey)

  This study performed statistical analyses based on chromosome micromor-phology of 18 Centaurea taxa, two of which are endemic. ANOVA, Correlation analy-sis, Discriminant analysis and Cluster analysis were performed to determine the relationships between taxa based on chromosomal features. In addition, according to the data obtained from these analyses, the relationships between taxa and sections were tried to be interpreted. As a result of the analyses, the taxa C. drabifolia Sm. floccosa (Boiss.) Wagenitz & Greuter, C. kotschyi (Boiss. & Heldr.) Hayek var. floccosa (Boiss.) Wagenitz and C. behen L. and C. polypodiifolia Boiss pseudobehen (Boiss.) Wagen-itz were located close to each other. These taxa are located in the same sections in the morphological classification. Besides, in the Discriminant analysis, the taxa of Acrocen-tron, Microlophus, Cheirolepis sections were closely located compared to all other taxa. However, results were not seen to cover all taxa of the sections. This study revealed various chromosomal characteristics of some Centaurea taxa distributed in the Eastern Anatolia. It also performed statistical analyses on these data. While determining the relationships between taxa according to chromosomal characteristics, comparing chromosomal formulas and indices collectively and evaluating the relationships was found to be relatively consistent with morphological classification.

  Statistical evaluation of chromosomes of some Lathyrus L. taxa from Turkey

  In this study, a statistical analysis was performed on mitotic metaphase chromosomes of 26 Lathyrus taxa, four of which are endemic. ANOVA, correlation analysis, PCA and cluster analysis were performed to determine the relationships between taxa based on chromosomal criteria. The morphological similarities of plant taxa and chromosomal statistics results may not be always parallel to each other. According to the findings obtained as a result of analysis, the following taxa, which are close to each other were determined: L. hirsutus-L. odoratus, L. brachypterus var. haussknechtii-L. phaselitanus, L. stenophyllus-L. chloranthus, L. gorgoni var. gorgoni-L. nissolia-L. pratensis, L. tuberosus-L. annuus.

  Çalışanların iş tatminleri ile mesleki motivasyonları arasındaki ilişkinin sosyo-demografik özelikler açısından istatistiksel analizi: Bir kamu üniversitesi örneği

  Ülkemizde devlet ve vakıf üniversitelerinin sayısının artmasıyla birlikte, üniversiteler sundukları hizmetin kalitesini yükselterek tercih edilebilir bir konumda olmayı hedefleri arasında ön sıralara almışlardır. İnsan kaynağının bu hedefe ulaşmada en önemli faktör olması, motivasyon ve iş tatminine önem verilmesini gerektirmiştir. Bu çalışma ile Fırat Üniversitesinde çalışan idari personelin motivasyon ve iş tatmini düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmış, demografik özelliklere göre farklılık gösterip göstermediklerini belirlemek için alt hipotezler oluşturulmuştur. Yüz yüze anket metodu uygulanarak, 228 anket formunun değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. Kolmogorov-Smirnov Testi sonuçlarına göre ölçekler ve alt boyutları bazında değişkenlerin normal gösterdikleri belirlenmiş ve parametrik yöntemler seçilmiştir. Bu amaçla analiz bölümünde uygulanan ölçeklerin güvenirliği Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik katsayısı ile test edilmiş, tüm ölçekler ve alt boyutları için elde edilen katsayılara göre güvenilir oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, çalışanların motivayon ve iş tatmini düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönlü, orta düzeyde istatiksel anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir (Balıbey M., Öndaş N.K.). Fırat Üniversitesi'nde, motivasyon ve iş tatmini düzeylerinin bilinmesinin, karar alıcı mekanizmalar tarafından önemli olacağı düşünülmektedir.   Determination and Health Risk Assessment of Heavy Metals in Drinking Water of Tunceli, Turkey

  Tunceli, Turkey is one of the small cities in the Eastern Anatolian Region with substantial natural, cultural and historical heritage that is suitable to be a slow city. Water sources are abundant in the area due to rain and heavy snowfall in the mountains, which seeps into the ground or flows into the rivers. Therefore monitoring and conservation of city's drinking water quality is one of the main issues in the city. The present study was conducted to investigate several heavy metals and cyanide, arsenic, and selenium concentrations of drinking water samples taken from 100 different locations in the city and towns of Tunceli, Turkey during the years 2011 and 2012. In three locations, high levels of copper was found with a range of 2.1-11.5 mg/L, and high levels of arsenic was detected in five locations with a range of 10.5-78.0 mu g/L, exceeding the action levels for copper and arsenic. For health risk assessment, the average daily dose and hazard quotient (HQ) were calculated. The region mean values of HQ were found above 1 for arsenic in the samples collected from Mazgirt, while HQ values were below 1 in the rest of the samples.
