    Deep learning-assisted Hubble parameter analysis

Salti, Mehmet; Kangal, Evrim Ersin; Zengin, Bilgin

We turn our attention on evaluating the most recent Hubble parameter data measured via the differential evolution of cosmic-chronometers from a deep learning perspective. To achieve this goal, we start our investigation by introducing the selected theoretical setup and compiling the most recent statistical data obtained in cosmology experiments. Then we implement a tuned version of the long-short term memory (LSTM) architecture and run it to predict possible values of the Cosmic Hubble parameter for different red-shift states. Since we observe a good correlation between the observed and predicted datasets of the Hubble parameter, we conclude that the machine learning approaches can play important roles in the future cosmology investigations.

Data-driven predictive modeling of Hubble parameter

Salti, Mehmet; Ciger, Emel; Kangal, Evrim Ersin; Zengin, Bilgin

We redesign the generalized pressure dark energy (GPDE) model, which is covering three common types of pressure parameterizations, with the help of a caloric framework to construct a theoretical ground for the machine learning (ML) analysis of cosmic Hubble parameter. The theoretical setup was optimized to find out appropriate values of its arbitrary parameters with the help of genetic neural network (GNN) algorithm and the most recent observational measurements of Hubble parameter. Since there is a shortcoming that the GNN process does not provide a direct method to calculate errors on the optimized values of free model parameters, we therefore take the Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) algorithm into account to deal with this issue. We see that the best-fitting value of Hubble constant and dimensionless dark energy density are in very good agreement with the most recent observations. Also, we discussed the optimized model from a cosmological perspective by making use of the evolutionary behavior of some cosmological parameters to present additional cosmological aspects of our theoretical proposal. It is concluded that our model implies physically meaningful results. In summary, the constructed model can explain the current accelerated expansion phase of the cosmos via Hubble parameter successfully.

Comparative Performance Analysis of Sinusoidal Pulse Width and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulations for Off-Grid Inverters

    Zengin, Bilgin; Arslanoğlu, İbrahim

Since alternating current is widely used in many systems, it is desired to convert the direct current input voltage to a symmetrical alternating current output voltage with the desired amplitude and frequency. For this purpose, first of all, information about inverters and multilevel inverters is given in the study. Then, pulse width modulation techniques are explained and the working logic of Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) and Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) techniques are examined in detail among these modulation techniques. Finally, the simulations of the inverters on R (Resistive) and R-L (Resistive-Inductive) loads are modeled using the grid-independent two-level SPWM and three-level SVPWM control method in MATLAB/Simulink environment. These measurements made in the Simulink environment were compared with the theoretical calculations and it was tried to determine which of the models showed the best performance in terms of power quality.

Investigation of relaxation times in 5-fluorouracil and human serum albumin mixtures

Korunur, Sibel; Zengin, Bilgin; Yilmaz, Ali

Background: Human serum albumin (HSA) is often selected as a subject of any study because albumin is the most abundant protein in human blood plasma. NMR is recognized as a valuable method to determine the structure of proteins-ligand and protein-drug complexes. Objective - Aim of the study: In this study, protein drug interactions were investigated using 5-Fluorouracil anticancer drug and human serum albumin protein. Materials and methods: In this context 400 MHz NMR spectrometry was used and NMR relaxation rates in drug-albumin complex were investigated with respect to increase albumin concentration and increase in 5-Fluoro-uracil (5-FU)-albumin solution temperature. Results: The results of this study indicated that 5-FU had a weak association with albumin, and it easily dissociated from the protein to which it was attached. Conclusion: The obtained results also gave us useful information about molecular dynamics of drug-albumin interactions.

Tunceli İlindeki Trafik Kazası Oranlarının İncelenmesi

    Zengin, Bilgin; Arslannur, Bircan

Investigation Of Mechanical Stresses On Sandwich Composite Layers According To The Pressure By Making Use Of Ansys Software

Taşkaya, Semih; Zengin, Bilgin; Kaymaz, Kürşat; Aşkın, Muzaffer

In this study, in Ansys package program 2 different models of 3 intermediate layers, with a straight and 7° orientation angle, are designed as 3 dimensional according to x, y, z coordinate measurements. Sandwich plates with smooth and radial geometries were fixed in two different tests from their right and left supports, linearly and mechanical stresses were analyzed according to axes under 4 MPa pressure. Here, we mainly analysed two different structures by comparing features according to the cases that having same shape-different supports and different shapes-same support. It has been investigated that the compression ratios of straight anchorage support increase linearly as a function of linear meshes in the same geometry but different support stresses. The radial anchorage support draw ratio decreases with linear supports while the compression ratios increase with x axis and decrease with y and z axes. On the other hand, it is concluded that radial anchorage ratio for the structures having different shapes and same type supports increases in x axis and decreases in both y and z. Moreover, one can see that radial linear support has lower draw and compression ratios on the x axis, and also the quantity increases on the y axis while the compression ratio decreases on the z axis.

The examination of a variety of different ions added to the crown ether derivatives with high field NMR spectrometer

Aşkin, Muzaffer; Zengin, Bilgin; Korunur, Sibel; Kor, Harun; Köylü, M. Zafer

The current study involves the measurements of T1 relaxation time of complexes three different crown ethers (4-aminobenzo-15-Crown-5, 1-Aza-18-Crown-6, 1-Aza-15-Crown-5) and two different ions sodium perchlorate (NaClO4), lithium perchlorate (LiClO4) by a 400 MHz NMR spectrometer. The association constants (Ka) of the complexes were determined on the basis of the evaluation of these measurements using the Benesi-Hildebrand method that we have modified. These association constants were consistent with those obtained from 1H NMR titration technique. As a result, it can be speculated that binding constants could be measured using T1 relaxation time when chemical shifts are very small or cannot be observed.

Elimination of Radiation Damping Effects from the NMR Relaxation Curves of H2O/D2O Mixtures Containing Protein and Ions

Zengin, Bilgin; Koylu, Mehmet Zafer; Korunur, Sibel; Yilmaz, Ali

In this work the T-1 and T-2 curves of H2O/D2O mixtures were obtained for several fractions of H2O and also for different amounts of albumin and manganese. The experiments were carried out with a 400 MHz proton NMR spectrometer. The T-1 and the T-2 curves were determined by the inversion recovery (IR) and Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill (CPMG) sequences, respectively. The relaxation times in residual water and in a mixture with 0.05 ml H2O were found to be reliable either in the presence or in the absence of albumin. The mixtures containing 0.1 ml or higher H2O suffer from radiation damping (RD). RD was removed gradually by addition of albumin or manganese. RD in the protein solution with 0.1 ml H2O was removed by adding 1 mu g of manganese to one ml of solution. The data suggest that the relaxation times in H2O/D2O mixtures are measurable by conventional methods upon the addition of appropriate amounts of manganese and albumin.
