Hayao miyazaki in the east-west synthesis

    Çınar, Semih; Köse, Özkan

One of the reasons why Japanese anime has an important place in world cinema is the films of Hayao Miyazaki. What makes Miyazaki different; Although the films contain traditional Japanese culture in a very intense way, it has succeeded in creating a source from Western (European) culture by idealizing it with its good aspects. Although examples of such an understanding are frequently encountered in Japanese popular culture, Miyazaki is distinguished from his peers by the notion of belief in humanity, which he often employs in his animes shaped by the naive romantic attitude he adopts. This has contributed to the transformation of movies into a universal language of expression of a whole genre (anime-manga). Miyazaki aims to convey his view of the world's problems and his message, which includes his suggestion that an alternative end is possible, in his works without sacrificing his political and critical point of view. For this reason, Miyazaki Cinema has an important place in terms of the unique expression language of his works on the synthesis of East and West. In the light of such a perspective, it is aimed to touch on the subject, formal, fictional and technical references that make the works successful.

    Altı, Aziz; Kartal, Kazim

The Ottoman State accommodated communities belonging to different belongings within its borders from its establishment to its collapse. The Ottoman social order is a structure built on diversity, and this mosaic society model is shaped according to differences in belief and is secured by law. This model has a pluralistic character in socio-cultural and religious plan. This pluralism in the Ottoman state was understood and implemented in the form of securing and sustaining differences. Accordingly, different religious and cultural sections of the society could come together in the Ottoman Empire, but they would not cease to be themselves. Each group or congregation maintained and continued its own religious characteristics, language, culture, ideas, and way of living. This multiculturalism in the Ottoman State was the building block of the Ottoman nation system. Copts are also a community within the Ottoman society. The orıgın, structure and meanıngs of places ın tunceli

    Tosun, İbrahim; Koç, Ali

Since the time of their existence, human beings have attempted to name themselves, their self-perceived things through their own eyes by keeping some features into the foreground, and thus tried to make life easier. All these words that are formed by the language and that refer to the living and inanimate beings in nature are defined as names. According to this, it can be said that the names first appeared in the language system. Today, most of the vocabulary of spoken languages consists of names. The region is generally known as Dersim in history.

Russia’s Caucasus and Central Asia politics during the past decade as part of its threat perceptions

    Güneş, Ergin

This article analyzes the Caucasus and Central Asia politics of Russia in the axis of Russia’s threat perceptions between the years 2000-2013 within the framework of the neorealist theory. Thanks to its energy reserves, Russia increased its power sources in domestic policy and in foreign policy strengthened its military, economic and political structures. Thanks to regional cooperation, local support and effective policies, Russia struggles more influentially against factors that endanger its security such as radical Islam and drug trafficking and could stop NATO’s gaining ground in these regions. As a result, Russia’s influence in the Caucasus and Central Asia has increased thanks to using the neorealist theory, while that of the USA has decreased.
