Views about the Debates on Anthropology and Racism within the Period of the Foundation of the Republic In recent years, some academic and public debates about "Anthropology" and "Racism" get more attention. Meanwhile, anthropology in Turkey is already known as a science of race, mostly. In this paper, according to some of these debates which are related to early periods of the Turkish Republic, racism as a political discourse is analyzed with a historical perspective on anthropology
