It was observed that there was a significant difference in the body perception levels of women playing and not playing sports. Moreover, there was a significant difference between the fitness evaluation, fitness orientation, and overall scale scores according to age, branch, and sports status. On the other hand, there was no significant difference between the scores of appearance evaluation, health orientation, body areas satisfaction, appearance orientation, and health evaluation. - MakaleYalnız künye2021Scopus SJRQ4Balneotherapy Features of Natural Thermal Source from Pertek (Turkey-Tunceli) Due to Its Some Chemical, Radioactivity and Biological Parameters
Sönmez, Pinar Erecevit
It can also be defined as a discipline that reviews the factors of balneology or hydrotherapy, which are alternative treatment methods for public health, from chemical, biological and medical aspects. In this study, it was aimed to investigate whether the underground waters in the Pertek district of Tunceli province are suitable for balneology. Chemical, radioactivity analysis, microbiological quality, antimicrobial activities were determined in relation to natural groundwater and its ability to be a natural healing source was investigated. When the chemical content is examined, it was determined to be bromide amount is 0.24 mg / L, Iodine (I); 1.9 mg / L, sulfur (S); 0.02 mg / L, boron (B): 2676 µg / L, silicium (Si); 1.9 mg / L. With respect to the results, thermal water has the feature to be used in balneolotherapy. According to the results of the radioactivity analysis, alpha (α) is 0.15 Bq / L; Beta (β) is <0.30 Bq / L and radon (Rn) is <13.4 Bq / L tritium (T) content is <10 Bq / L (<83.33 TB) and it is included in both mineral and young water group. This ground water and they comply with the standards in terms of microbiology (Total bacteria, coliform, Escherichia coli). Its antibacterial, antifungal and antidermatophyte properties prove to be a healing source. We confirmed the effectiveness of this healing water to both protect and promote human health as a drinking cure and reach the newest and most effective treatment modalities by using related water in Health and Thermal Tourism.

Önen, Cihan; Sandikçi, Muhammed Bahadır
Study Objectives: With the restrictions in the pandemic process and the distance education process, changes have occurred in the diet of students. In such periods, which affect human life in a significant way in terms of public health, nutrition must be managed well. The study was conducted to evaluate the eating awareness of university students during the COVID-19 pandemic period and to examine its relationship with their engagement in life. Methods: The population of the cross-sectional study consists of the students of Munzur University. As a precaution regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the participants were reached on the internet. Results: Eating awareness was statistically higher in men, married people, those with normal weight, and older students. While the life engagement among university students was high, the mean scores of eating awareness and its sub-components were moderate. Life engagement was significantly higher in sports science students than students in other academic units. There was a weak but significant relationship between eating awareness and engagement in life. Conclusion: Eating awareness of university students during the pandemic is at a moderate level. Students with high eating awareness are attached to life more. The highest life engagement among academic units is among sports science students. There is a need for public health initiatives to increase the awareness of eating among the students, against COVID-19 and possible future pandemics.

- MakaleYalnız künye2021Scopus SJRQ4Reflections of nature-oriented outdoor sports activities on coronavirus-19 phobia during the pandemic process
Sandikç, Muhammed Bahadır; Önen, Cihan
Study Objectives: This study was carried out to evaluate the impact of participation in nature-oriented outdoor sports activities on Coronavirus-19 phobia during the pandemic process. Methods: The population of the cross-sectional study consists of 289 people who were engaged in nature-oriented outdoor sports activities in the Tunceli region between 28.06.2021 and 20.07.2021. Results: COVID-19 phobia was statistically higher in women, people under 35, singles, those with high school or lower education, and those who do not have children. Although many nature sports activities reduce the phobia of COVID-19, there was especially a statistically significant decrease in COVID-19 phobia among those who engage in rock climbing. Besides, those who practiced outdoor sports with fear of death and quarantine had a statistically higher COVID-19 phobia score. There was a weakly significant negative relationship between the years of experience, the number of types of outdoor sports activities that the individuals engage in, and the COVID-19 phobia score. As the years of experience in these activities and their types increased, the COVID-19 phobia decreased, albeit weakly. Conclusion: Performing nature-oriented outdoor sports activities from different fields can be beneficial, even partially, in reducing the phobia caused by COVID-19. In pandemics, such as COVID-19, which have a wide range of negative effects on society, individuals can be directed to nature sports against COVID-19 phobia.

Kuzgun, Nermin Karaton; Erecevit Sönmez, Pınar; Tanyildizi, Muhammet Şaban
Aim of this study, the sensorial, microbiological, and chemical features during shelf life at 2 ± 2 °C of rainbow trout fillets samples treatment with coriander essential oils were examined of protective effect of oils. According to the findings of the research, the storage during of fillets ended on day 9th, that of control on day 12th, that of samples applied with coriander oils 0.1% on day 15th, which of fillets applied with coriander oils 0.25% and applied with coriander oils 0.5% on day 18th. The minimum number of bacteria, values of TVB-N and TBA were founded in trout fillets treatment with 0.5% coriander essential oil. In terms of the sensory quality of the fillets, as assessed by panelists participating in the panel, it was detected that highest point was given to the fillets groups to which coriander essential oil of 0.5% had been enforced, and as a result, with this application, it was underlined that was obtained in a positive direction of a flavor very different other than ordinary fish flavor by panelists.

- MakaleYalnız künye2020Scopus SJRQ4Quality changes and storage life of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) with the use of Ginger (Zingiber officinale) essential oil
Sönmez, Pınar Erecevi t; Kuzgun, Nermin Karaton; Kirbağ, Sevda
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) essential oil is considered safe. In this study, ginger (Zingiber officinale) essential oil was used to extend storage life of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) and detect its protective effects. The following tests were performed to assess the shelf life of carp (C:control) treated with ginger essential oil (G). The microbiota growth of the carp, sensory properties, pH, TVB TBA values, the shelf life of the carp changed positively by adding ginger oil in different concentrations to the carp (C1, C2, C3: 0.1%, 0.25%, 0.5%ginger essential oil was added to carp samples). On the other hand; ginger essential oil has a positive effect on TVB-N and TBA values of carp fillets. With reference to the results of microbiota growth, carp sample (C: control) showed the highest value (P < 0.05) on the 6th storage day. The results show the importance of the use of Zingiber officinale essential oil to prevent food spoilage.
