Logistics performance measurement has become increasingly important for countries as the competitive environment has increased. For this purpose, the World Bank has begun publishing logistics performance index (LPI) reports. The LPI ranking of countries is determined by the experts’ scoring system. By re-analyzing this scoring and reevaluating it without the need for expert opinion, this study analyzed the evaluation of country rankings according to criteria weights from several different angles. This study aims to provide a detailed analysis of the World Bank’s 2023 report using the ENTROPY-based ORESTE method, which has not previously been used in LPI evaluation and provides a more accurate and robust approach to the research. Although several studies have explored this similar topic in the literature, using a new method and comparing the criteria weights by including them in the analysis gave the present study a broader perspective. LPI analysis is an important tool for assessing and improving a country’s competitiveness, and it can help investors compare logistics infrastructure and processes across countries. This can help stakeholders to better plan and make direct investments. Logistics researchers can use the LPI to examine sectoral and economic trends and forecast future developments. Furthermore, the LPI can be used in academia to train and raise awareness about assessment, logistics, and supply chain management programs. This is an important resource for training future logistics professionals and managers and providing policymakers and practitioners with a more refined tool for identifying areas for improvement and investment in logistics infrastructure.

Sanayi devrimi öncesinde geleneksel yöntemlerle sürdürülen nakliyecilik faaliyetleri dünya üzerinde mal dolaşımına duyulan ihtiyacın artmasıyla birlikte hızla büyüdü. Modern teknoloji, ulaşım olanaklarının gelişmesi ve küreselleşmedeki çarpıcı artışla birlikte nakliyecilik her zamankinden daha önemli hale geldi. Nitekim Osmanlı Devleti yöneticileri de nakliyecilik alanındaki bu gelişmeleri yakından takip ederek modern nakliye yöntemlerinden faydalanma yoluna gitti. Bu süreç II. Meşrutiyetin ilanından hemen sonra nakliye şirketlerin kurulmasıyla önemli bir aşamaya girdi. Meşrutiyet, nakliye şirketlerinin gelişiminde adeta bir dönüm noktası oldu. Özellikle anonim şirketçiliğin gelişimi için ciddi girişimlerde bulunuldu. 1908 yılına kadar esas faaliyeti Osmanlı topraklarında nakliyecilik yapmak olan şirket sayısı sınırlı kaldı ise de 1908-1918 yılları arasında bu sayı hızla arttı. Özellikle başkent İstanbul ve mal dolaşımın yoğun olduğu liman kentleri nakliye şirketlerinin en çok kurulduğu yerler oldu. Bu doğrultuda çalışma, modern nakliyecilik sektörünün Osmanlı da kurumsallaşma sürecini ortaya çıkarmayı hedeflemektedir. Bununla bağlantılı olarak, dönemin matbuatı, arşiv belgeleri ve nakliye şirketlerinin nizamnameleri ışığında, Osmanlı topraklarında kurulan bir kısım anonim nakliye şirketlerinin amaçları, kurumsal yapıları ve faaliyetleri ortaya koyulacaktır. Kuşkusuz bu tür şirketlerin varlığı, Osmanlı devletinin değişen dünya koşullarına uyum sağlama becerisini örnekleyen bir gelişmedir.

Strengthening the foundations of the Republic of Turkey, one of the important activities carried out within the scope of the work to create nation-states he was also experienced in the alphabet and language. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk wanted to put the Turkish language in the forefront of the Arabic and Persian languages, which had been on the second plenary for centuries. Atatürk, who was aiming to go to the West in science and technology, thought that the local resources in Turkish would be cleverly selected and used, making foreign words unnecessary.In line with this aim, in 1928 the alphabet reinforcement was made to Latin letters, and then language simplification activities were concentrated in the context of Turkish word search activities to keep foreign words on the ground. These studies, which flew in the first half of the 1930s, were slowed down in 1936 by the Sun-Language Theory, which claimed that the origin of all languages was Turkish, and a kind of unnecessary redundancy was put forward. In this study, the effects of the Sun-Language Theory on the maritime sector and maritime transport have been tried to be put forward by taking archive changes as a basis for name changes. 16 etymological evaluations given to marine vessels are given in detail, the name change of 108 sea vehicles is presented in a table.

The aim of this study is to establish the Turkish Lokomotif Sanayi A.Ş., which serves as the locomotive of the Turkish Heavy Industry. (TÜLOMSAŞ) 14 bench, 30 personnel and bogie workshop business process change engineering methods by using simulation models suitable for Hammer Champy model, to renew the processes, to utilize the technology more while renewing the processes and to produce much better quality products. To do this, six scenarios were developed by considering the constraints of the factory and all the business processes which were either feasible, but whose operation was uncertain, and models were created by using the computerized ARENA 9.0 Simulation program in this scenario. As a result of total 12 months of change engineering engineering applications, the scenario giving the closest result to the most applicable targets was selected and the annual bogie amount was increased to 2164 with the scenario selected while the annual bogie amount was 2029 before the change engineering application. With this study, the change that will be realized with the change engineer applications in the railway sector will be able to eliminate all the uncertainty states with the established simulation models and to examine the business processes in detail.
