Çankaya, Ibrahim; Balikçi, Servet; Bek, Hafiz

The aim of this research is to determine whether certification training has a significant effect on pre-service teachers' awareness. In the research, the awareness level of pre-service teachers who participated in psychological resilience training was compared. The research is a one-group pre-test post-test quasi-experimental research design. The research group consisted of 25 pre-service teachers who participated in the psychological resilience trainings organized by Uşak University Lifelong Learning Center in the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. The research group received resilience awareness training consisting of two sessions and lasting 1.5 weeks. Data were collected using the brief psychological resilience scale developed by Doğan. It was determined that there was a significant difference (p < .05) between the psychological resilience awareness levels of the students before and after the certificate training. In the 21st century, certificate trainings will be provided in addition to the university diploma in order to provide the skills that institutions and the business world care about. Certificates will be among the primary reasons for teacher selection.

Yaşar, Beril Nisa; Şeker, Sevda Arslan

For both individual and community health, women's health is vital. In particular, gynecological cancers can be prevented or treated by adopting healthy lifestyles, raising awareness, and detecting them early. This study aimed to identify levels of gynecological cancer awareness and healthy lifestyle behaviors among women aged 20-65 years. There were 251 women in the descriptive cross-sectional study. The Gynecological Cancers Awareness Scale (GCAS), the Descriptive Characteristics Form, and the Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale-II (HLBS-II) were used to gather data. The data was analyzed using the Pearson's correlation test, multiple linear regression, and descriptive statistics. The average HLBS-II score was 123.53±20.75, while the average GCAS score was 149.64±21.30. The HLBS-II and GCAS scores showed a statistically significant positive correlation. Women knowledgeable about early diagnosis methods scored 10.758 times higher on the GCAS, while women familiar with vulvar self-examination scored 11.016 times higher. Employed women had a mean HLBS-II score 6.124 times higher than non-employed women (p<0.05). Women's awareness of gynecological cancer was high, but they also had moderately good lifestyle choices. To raise awareness and promote healthy lifestyle choices, healthcare professionals are advised to take part in health-promoting initiatives.

Sağlık profesyonellerinin sağlık turizmine ilişkin algılarını belirlemeye yönelik bir araştırma

    Erkan Babacan

Verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirmesi bilgisayar ortamında Statistical Package for Social Sciences (IBM SPSS 24.0) paket programı ile yapılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analizler sonucunda; sağlık profesyonellerinin sağlık turizmi farkındalıkları yüksek düzey olarak belirlenmiştir. Diğer alt boyutlarda farkındalık düzeyleri incelendiğinde ''Kurumsal Yeterlilik'' ve ''Elazığ'ın Sağlık Turizmi Potansiyeli'' boyutlarının yüksek düzey, ''Sağlık Turizminin Etkileri ve Sorunları'' boyutunun orta düzey ve ''Hastanenin Sağlık Turizmi Uygulamaları'' boyutunun ise düşük düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Aynı zamanda çeşitli değişkenler çerçevesinde yapılan analizler sonucunda; sağlık profesyonellerinin sağlık turizmi farkındalık düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum, eğitim düzeyi, mesleki tecrübe ve mevcut hastanedeki görev süresi değişkenlerine göre bir farklılık göstermediği, fakat mesleki görevine göre farkındalık düzeylerinin etkilendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Son olarak eksik görülen yönlerle ilgili önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Sağlık Turizmi, Sağlık Profesyonelleri, Sağlık Turizmi Farkındalığı

Cevik Durmaz, Yadigar; Tuncer Coban, Pelin; Eseroglu Soylemez, Tugba; Aktas, Hakki

Healthcare professionals have a significant role to play in the early diagnosis of child abuse and neglect (CAN), which is important in terms of protecting children's health. The study aimed to measure the change in the participants' level of diagnosing the risks and symptoms of CAN before and after the training by providing a training program to healthcare professionals including the signs of CAN, symptoms and procedures to be followed in this case. All healthcare professionals working in a State Hospital and Family Health Centers in Tunceli, Turkey, and who volunteered to participate in the study were included in the study (n = 125). The data were collected before and after the training by using the Personal Information Form and The Diagnosis Scale of the Risks and Symptoms of Child Abuse and Neglect (DSRSCAN). 39 participants (31.2%) reported that they had previously suspected CAN, and 35 (28%) stated that they had encountered CAN before. The mean DSRSCAN score of the healthcare professionals included in the study before the training was 3.38 (lowest =2.37, highest =3.55), while after the training, it went up to 3.60 (lowest =2.76, highest =5.00), and the difference between the pre-training and post-training DSRSCAN scores was determined to be statistically significant (p < 0.001). It was determined that when healthcare professionals were trained on CAN, their awareness could be further strengthened. Hence, training programs for healthcare professionals on diagnosing and reporting CAN should be updated and increased.
