Sorghum is a crucial crop for sustainable agriculture due to its drought resistance, low carbon footprint, and diverse applications in food, feed, and bioenergy. However, understanding the impact of climate change on sorghum production is essential for ensuring its future sustainability. This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of scientific publications related to sorghum and climate change using the Web of Science (WoS) database, covering the period from 1984 to 2024. A total of 1053 relevant papers were analyzed, revealing an average annual growth rate of 12.73% and an average citation count of 32.02 per document. Most of the publications (83.5%) were research articles, while 9.7% were review papers. Among the contributing researchers, Prasad PVV emerged as the most productive author based on an h-index of 13, whereas the United States was identified as the most influential country, contributing 235 documents and 13,750 citations. Keyword clustering analysis identified five major research themes, including sustainable energy and environmental impacts, climate resilience, socioeconomic effects of climate change, and key crops. The findings of this study offer valuable scientific insights to guide future research and policymaking on climate change and sorghum sustainability.

Pehlivanoğlu, Şeyma; Çelik, Osman Tayyar; Tok, Yasin; Sağlam, Mehmet
This bibliometric study aims to contribute to the literature on adolescent pregnancy by exploring gaps, research trends, contributing countries and journals, collaboration networks, and subject themes, offering a macro perspective on the field’s development and future directions. This study employed a bibliometric research methodology. Publications containing the keywords adolescent, adolescence, youth, teenager, puberty, juvenile, pregnancy, and pregnant were retrieved from the Web of Science (WoS) database (1980–April 24, 2024) and analyzed using VOSviewer and the open-source R bibliometric package, adhering to predefined inclusion/exclusion criteria. The concept of adolescent pregnancy has been studied annually from 1980 to the present, peaking in 2022. Key research topics include sexual and reproductive health, contraception, and depression. According to Lotka’s Law, 84.7% of authors in this field have published only once. Recent studies have focused on birth weight and pregnancy risks. The most cited publication globally and locally is by Ganchimeg et al., while the Journal of Adolescent Health is the most productive platform. The United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Canada, and Turkey are the most productive countries in this field. The results of this study highlight that adolescent pregnancy remains a global public health issue, as evidenced by its consistent presence in annual research. Key research gaps and trends include social and emotional challenges faced by pregnant adolescents, physical development and health during adolescent pregnancy, causes and prevalence trends, preventive education services, and psychosocial interventions. Further research is essential to develop effective interventions for preventing adolescent pregnancy and safeguarding the best interests of children.

Şahin, Aykut; Karakaya, Yunus Emre; Dikmen, Melih
This study aims to investigate previous curriculum research on physical education and sports using the bibliometric mapping method. A systematic map was created for the research tendencies in physical education and sports curricula studies conducted between 1975 and 2021. Accordingly, the intention is to fill a gap in the literature by conducting a general situation analysis about the present status of curriculum studies in physical education and sports based on the publication and citation data obtained from the Web of Science (WoS) database. The software VOSviewer was utilised for the bibliometric analysis. After scanning the studies in the database, 454 studies were accessed at the initial stage. A total of 114 studies were covered in the analysis by following certain exclusion criteria. The findings suggested that curriculum studies in physical education and sports were conducted in association with numerous multidisciplinary research areas. Furthermore, in recent years, a linear increase in curriculum studies has occurred on this subject matter. It was also found that scientists from universities in the United States of America were at the centre of the studies. Another striking result was the limited number of journals specialising in sports and education. The results of the bibliometric maps also demonstrated that the researchers in this field investigated a variety of subjects that can be grouped under four main disciplines: ‘health and physical education,’ ‘curriculum reform,’ ‘contents,’ and ‘pre-service teachers.’ Addedl the results revealed that studies on physical education and sports curricula were conducted with a focus on current developments.
